Overview

The 3 Shop site’s content is organised into three basic layouts. These layouts allow for consistency in presentation of a variety of content. The layouts are designed for 1024px monitor resolution, their total width measuring 930px to allow for browsers' chrome and scrollbars.

Following are general descriptions of the areas within the layouts and what content resides in them. Any information specific to layout A, B, C or D sits above its corresponding diagram.

Layout A

Layout A is used on the homepage of the 3 Shop only and introduces some of the global elements that are used in other layouts across the site. The Hot Deals Feature Panel and Sectional Tile links are exclusive to this page.

Layout B

Layout B is primarily used as the main template for all other pages across the site that are accessed from the Global Navigation. Each page’s content is started with a sectional header graphic and is followed by an extensible area that contains the content for that page. The cart area to the right may also contain promotional panels in some instances (eg. Cart Summary page).

Layout C

Layout C is a template used on pages which contain forms and others which have not alot of content. These are generally not accessible through any of the navigation options and actually excludes the Global Navigation as previoudly shown across the top. Examples include a 404 Error Page and the Order Form pages.
